If Truk wants an H and Nancy wants slides…..are not his choices Liberty or Vantare, if he wants Prevo OTR ?
-
He and I had that discusssion. Were you listening in?
Actually in the vintage Tom will be looking, Liberty made only a few H models. My guess is to check all the boxes he needs to focus on Vantare.
-
No, but I had a feeling he wasn’t looking at later yrs Liberty’s, plus Nancy was quite interested in our Vantare and you know how that goes.
-
Methinks they might be looking at a certain Vantare at a certain converter in…oh maybe, Sanford.
-
Sheesh, this has been a busy topic today, I’m trying to hide in the weeds.
Jon got the count right, an H will just round it all out. It’s slim pickings for OTR in my range, I also didn’t know Liberty never made a 2002 H, it was a model year transition. Wishbone straightened me out on that.
So here’s the big question for you 2000 – 2002 Marathon H guys… Will the cruiseairs keep running in the heat of the summer without over temping from hot asphalt? My XL’s would shut down and I would hope there was some cooling improvements in the later years.
Also, since I’ve been a rocker switch guy, what’s the skinny on the Techlink?
-
Tom, congratulations on the sale of your Liberty! That sure was fast! Everyone’s dream sale!
Safe Travels,
Mark

Congrats on selling your coach so fast.
It’s a fine one and whoever bought it is lucky.
Good hunitng for your new one.
-
Good job Tom , top notch coaches don’t last long they are not hard to sell
-
Oh how the market has changed………..
Not that long ago there not only were a lot of choices available in the market, they were cheap (if you can call a Prevost cheap). Today the good stuff is being snapped up almost as fast as it hits the market. That makes the sellers giddy with joy because they sell their coach fast, and sometimes do very well on the price.
That is the good news. Here’s the bad news. If the seller (like Tom) wants to get another coach the bargains are gone and the pickin’s are slim. The coach he wants at the price he wants may be out there, but it is going to be a challenge to find it. I think George and Corey have the coach Tom wants.
-
For those of you with XLII's, the reason mine sold so quickly was because of condition obviously, the the driving
factor was the Prevost Rivet Processbeing completed. No-see-Um rivets adds value and piece of mind to your bus. -
The lesson here is that if you have a coach that is well maintained (and can prove it with documentation) you not only have retained value, you have a much more desirable coach than one that lacks proof of continued maintenance and improvements.
-
The lesson that Jon preaches cannot be repeated or adhered to enough. We sold our previous coach this last December in 48 hrs for the asking price.
-
Corey and George
If you don’t mind me asking, what was your previous coach?
Glad it sold quickly!
Safe travels,
Mark
-
Mark, It was a 2000(’99 shell) XL CC conversion. Non-slide, side aisle, up-dated flooring, lighting and A/V systems.
-
Tom, how’s the coach search going ? You can’t leave us all in limbo…..you know how much we all like to help each other spend their dollars !
