Water Spots and Removal

Today I was hiding from work in the garage and saw water spots on my coach that were the result of water drying on the polished stainless before I had a chance to dry it. The more I looked the more spots I noticed hiding in places I don’t get to fast enough when I am trying to dry the bus after washing with my hard water.
So thinking of the thread above I wanted to see if there was a relatively easy way to make them go away. I used a dry buffing rag that was seasoned with polish I had wiped from my beautiful copper pipes located next to the rose dispenser. The rag was black with the residue of polish and it actually did a decent job of making the water spots less visible. I tried some polish on a few areas and all of the polishes I have ranging from Mother’s to Blue Magic did the job but the effort was quite high.
My final test was a metal polish and sealer our friend Bill distributed among members at a rally. I think it was the Tampa rally at Lazy Days. I used a few drops of that on a sponge type wax applicator and with that very tiny amount I easily removed all spots and ended up with a thin haze on the stainless that was easily polished off.
It wasn’t until I saw how good the polished part of the bus skin looked compared to the unpolished part that I realized the coach probably has a very fine haze of mineral deposits and how effective the polish Bill provided to us really is.

Jon, do you know the name of the product? I quickly glanced at his website but nothing jumped out and i would like to buy some of that magic stuff!
Can you met me in Nashvill and show me how well it works on our buses? We will be there starting tuesday thru the end of September!

Ya awl need to uze what Tommy Duhon uzes on hiz stanelezz steal. Dere waz not won wasser spot on hiz coach at Green Bay. But he haz a Liberty and thay seem to clean up a little better than da udders.

Geo I don’t think I was on same page as you were. After reading Dick’s post I thought he was suffering from one of the 2 Liberty syndrones you outlined in your post. Therefore I choose the corner I thought he was in..LOL
PS I do think those are Liberty exclusive.

Thanks for the compliments Dick. If you saw the coach after the Lapse in Lambeaux you may not say that. After the Badgers took care of their business and the Tigers didn’t the teardrops may have scared the coach for life. My crying towel has been useless. Seriously we enjoyed the time you and Cathie spent with us before the game. Compliments to all the Wisconsinites for the hospitality they afforded the Tiger faithful. It could only have been better had they all come by to wipe away the tears on our coach before they began to spot.

This Rose Petal thing is getting out of hand. Phil and Joanne were parked beside us for 4 days a couple of weeks ago, as luck would have it I was parked on the side of Phil’s grey water bypass. Evidently some of the Liberty Rose Petals escaped out of the bypass, the wind must have kicked up and blew the petals all over the side of my poor old CC………………………..Took me a week of polishing to clean the thing up.(-:
