Anyone have any history on this company in Tampa, good, bad or other?

Evidently they are pretty much captive to Lazy Days and neither one has heard any feedback….good, bad or indifferent.

Of all the paint issues we might have on our coaches, the one most commonly discussed is peeling or failure of the clear coat. It happens on the roof and often the front cap.
Having said that, we have paint finishes that are far beyond the quality level of any RV paint work. So if we are having issues with clear coats on our coaches can we expect a company that is geared towards conventional RV paint work to do work to the standard we have come to expect? I would want to have a great deal of feedback before I risked taking my coach there. They may be a fantastic company but I would want to see how their work holds up for the long term.

I’m leaving Debary, FL tomorrow, after having paint/clear coat work done at “Walter D’ Andrea Bodyworks, LLC.” This guy does “all” of Marathon’s work in Florida and, when I was there, it looks like he only works on Prevost. Unbelievable quality! He also does a ton of the NASCAR buses.
I believe I first got his card from another PC member, but I forgot who.
He’s extremely busy so plan well ahead!

Thanks, Tim. We’ve got clear coat peeling on the rear cap and are headed that way in March.

Many RV paint and body shops offer re-clear jobs.
This has taken the place of doing complete paint jobs. 3 coats of properly applied paint clear has amazing results.

PS: They and their children have turned into great dancers also.

Just for thought, check out 3M vehicle paint wraps. Did this on my top front & top rear where clearcoat as scaling. Worked out great, less down time, cheaper and has 10 year warranty.

Does anyone know what of paint is on our coaches? When I was in the airplane business it seemed like Imron was the high end paint of choice for high performance aircraft.

Our vintage was painted by Prevost at the factory in Sainte Claire, though they no longer paint coaches. As we toured the factory in June 2016, our guide did not say when they stopped. But he said they were using PPG products when ours was done. I checked my paint swatches, and they are in fact PPG. I believe Imron was a DuPont product.

Dick, my recollection is the EPA pretty much ruined Emron but wow it was great paint.
