The correct oil is SHC 634, a product of Exxon Mobil. It’s hard to find a gallon, but I did at Alliance Chemical in Texas 512-365-6838.
There are several web sellers, but they are all 5 gallons and over 200 dollars.
I removed the breather on top of the box and pumped the oil out and measured to put the same quantity in.

Amazon sells it for $20/qt.
Do you remember how much it took?
I see a drain plug and a fill plug on the gearbox. -
If you buy quarts, you will need two, and possibly not use all off the second one. Yes, there is a drain plug. I chose to pump out of the top by removing the breather for convenience of access, and I thought I would make less of a mess.

Thanks
I went on Superiors website, downloaded their bevel gearbox manual, and found they recommend a synthetic gear lube like Mobilube SHC 75w-90. -
It took 30oz.
I cleaned out the spring loaded vent with carb cleaner while I had it off.
