  • Can Prevosts be put to sleep?

Posted by Linda on June 28, 2021 at 9:03 am

We lost our 50 amp, covered spot due to owner selling . Will have to utilize a partially covered facility with no electrical, until we can build a barn. Since we are in early stages of purchasing, need to know if this is possible with a Prevost? We are looking at Royals silence they are least complicated.

Every coach can be put to sleep, but the process varies to an extent based on the converter and model of coach.

Contact the converter for instructions specific to the coach. Some have a very important specific sequence to prevent damage to certain devices or components. The forum is not the best place for this advice.

The chassis just requires turning off the master.

One important thing that applies to all coaches is you need good fully charged batteries. If the batteries are old or there are any issues with any single battery the remaining batteries can be quickly drained and possibly ruined. Check the batteries periodically and recharge them as often as required to keep them fully charged andnever discharged below 50% state of charge.
