  • Actual lenght

Posted by Marvin on October 1, 2019 at 6:18 pm

I am hoping to become a Prevost owner. Presently have an 88 Classic PT Bluebird and an o8 Dynasty 42 ft. Both of those coaches fit in my 2 bay shop. I am not sure if a 45 ft. would fit. Unfortunately the shop is concrete block and lengthening it would be a pain. What is the actual Length of either a 45 ft.XL or XLII. Probably between a 1998 to a 2003. Thanks.

The specifications list the length as 45 feet. Width, 102″ and height (standard) as 133.75″ so if it was other than 45 feet I assume it would be given down to the fraction of an inch.

I really don’t want to muddy the waters…but our 2001 XLII measures 45 feet from the front bumper to the rear bumper. The only thing that adds to the length and the only reason I’m commenting after Jon is the passenger side mirror actually extends forward a few inches (3-5 inches) from the front bumper. Our storage is a little tight and when I have to work on the rear of the coach and we want maximum room to work in the rear we move the coach slightly forward and the first limitation that we run into is the mirror.

That may not make a difference to you but I thought I would mention it…just in case.

    Happy hunting!

My shop is 50’ wide and I need as much room in the rear as possible. The only thing I watch when pulling in is the passenger mirror. I get it within 1/2” of the wall.

OK, if we are going to be precise, in addition to mirrors, some coaches have heavy black rubber bumper blocks that likely add to the length, a ball hitch sticking out at the rear adds length, and if the coach has awnings the width is affected.

The height also is impacted by A/Cs, or a satellite antenna, air horns, spotlight or roof vents.

I have lots of width and a 16 ft. Ceiling. 12×14 doors. But length will be a problem. Might have to find a 50 ft coach .

    Thanks

50 foot coach! That’s going to be hard to find!
