That is scary just to look at. I cannot imagine what the actual experience was like.

Glad everyone was OK. Praise the Lord. Looks very bad.

Hit a 6×6 on the interstate. Lost control when tow car started to sway as it too hit the 6X6.Lucky he was alone

Your friend is one lucky fella!
Sending get-well wishes! What a traumatic event. I’m sure in his mind it was like slow motion but that probably happened in a matter of seconds.
And, he lost the toad too. Sad.
Everything can be replaced, hopefully no serious injuries.
Safe travels,
Mark

I’m really happy there were no serious injuries. Looking at the coach, you wouldn’t think anyone survived. We saw a 2002 Affinity just like it for sale in Denton a week ago. Wish your friend the best!

A primary reason we’re buying a Prevost. Despite going back 15 years to purchase a Prevost, the steel structure still is sturdy and certainly can save your life over an aluminum cage coach.
-
True about Prevost shells strength, but if we had a choice, a Country Coach Magna or Affinity like the one in the accident has good front protection. After taking the CC Affinity/Magna factory tour in 2000, cemented our choice in an Affinity. But then, a year later we caught MPD, traded the Affinity in for 1999 shell/2001 Country Coach 2 slide 45ft.
-
The front-end of the Affinity is totally gone, no front door, no structure left on the front.
I know that a severe impact can mangle anything but that doesn’t look good.
Seeing a recent Marathon that had a very hard hit, it held up really well. And, I know each accident and impact is different.

Only because everyone is ok I’ll posit that I’m interested in how the insurance company values the coach.

Gary,
Glad your friend was OK…. thanks for posting…. good reminder for everyone.Bill

Considering the driver came out of that alive, I would say the steel structure in the Affinity did a pretty good job. No aluminum in an Affinity.
-
Glad all are ok . Where did that happen what town or state????

It’s hard to see how the driver came out of that alive !! must not have had on a seatbelt…. So happy he survived !!
