  • When does the Camping World mail stop?

Posted by Dick on February 24, 2015 at 1:12 pm

Last year a Camping World opened up about four miles from our house. After we brought the Prevost home in May I went to Camping World to buy something and they signed me up as a member. With CW’s pricing structure, being a member is a no brainer.

First they went me the standard “membership cards”, but I just give them my cell number and I get the discount.

But, the amount of mail I get from CW is way over the top. Its like they are trying to sell me something every second or third day. Flyers, small catalogs, envelopes full of offers I have trouble figuring out what they trying to sell.

Everyone else having the same experience?

It never ends, plus every time you buy something they want you to renew, no matter how long you’re paid up.

I’ve stopped going there. I can always beat their prices and to sever all links I sent a written request to cancel the Good Sam’s card and remove my name. They still send flyers through the mail.

Now if I could get the telemarketing calls. If I have ever hung up on anyone it is because when we answer the phone and nobody answers immediately after I say hello the phone gets hung up because it is a machine. The one that really pisses me off and I cannot get to stops starts out with “Hello seniors………..” I have no idea why my wife keeps getting these calls.

In my house she is the senior. She never reads these posts so I can reveal I married an older woman.

Ha, I just got back from the Home Depot for RV’rs 🙂

I needed a bicycle cover as it’s going to be raining the next couple days with some wind so had to put the big awning in, which I normally use to park the bicycles under. Even the four or five local bicycle shops didnt have a decent bicycle cover for two bikes that would work when the bikes are on a bike rack. Oh and were heavy duty/water proof.

Camping World if a necessary evil 🙁

My peeve is the constant Good Sam insurance and RV service plan solicitations originating from Camping World which have my name and address printed all over them on strangely over-sized paper that does not easily fit my shredder. I don’t claim to understand marketing, but I’m pretty sure you can’t annoy customers into buying your product. When I run the world, my first acts will be to outlaw junk mail that can’t be shredded without opening it and stickers that damage the product while being removed. There are other offenders, but Camping World specializes in both.

    Boxcarokie,

It all makes sense now taking the time to learn why we have medical problems.

Little did I know you (Mr. Oklahoma) were holding the secret. It’s the “ice” and you found this break thru discovery …amazing okie.

Just putting this together I’ll save thousands of dollars in medical expenses.

If you have ‘nt. paid your 2015 PC dues would you allow me to pay them ?

Thank you Al, I have always known you to be generous sort, you can pickup my 2015 dues and it will be much appreciated (use your credit card, and get some more frequent flyer miles, I got a trip to Gary, Indiana, not long ago) .

I am sure the information on Ice is correct, last time I checked. This year I understand that there will be NO COLD DRINKS at the University of Oklahoma football games. They are reporting that the senior who had the recipe for Ice graduated.

Here you go, just because you are so special.

    I WILL DRINK TO THAT.

Stay warm and keep the beast plugged in, spring is on the way.
