Coach Driving School

Would you be willing to travel some distance to attend a coach driving school?
On the same thread, Butch and Dawn wrote: “I would be interested in a prevost driving School as well.”
I notice you already have a coach. How long have you had a large motorhome? What prompts you to be interested in attending a coach driving school after you’ve had a coach for a while?

Yes, I would travel to take the class.
My reasoning is that I’ll be purchasing my first coach and simply stated, I see the value in learning good habits from the get-go from a professional.

I think if there is enough interest in a Prevost driver training school those who wish to attend should use this thread to establish a mutually agreeable place and date. If you can manage to do that you have most of the problem in setting one up resolved. Then it should be a simple matter if finding an instructor. I happen to know of a member who would probably be a great instructor if he could fit it into his schedule and would be willing to do it.
One place I would suggest is the Lakeland Carlisle event in Florida because you would have plenty of opportunity learning how to negotiate small roads and backing in a campsite. The site is near I-4 so there would be some access to highway driving also.
But just getting behind the wheel is not driving instruction and the program needs classroom instruction also, especially knowing how and why to do a pre-trip inspection and developing a basic understanding of the braking system.
What is really needed is a full blown Class B CDL type school.

Florida, but yes, I would travel for this opportunity.
While I don’t yet have a coach, I am actively shopping at the moment and have a few on my short list.

I sent an inquiry to Huffman-Rice last month and didn’t hear back. I don’t know anything about Huffman, but Tandy Rice is an old Friend and he passed away last year.
