AquaHot and Rudy Legett
Have been experiencing intermittant Aquahot issues for the last couple of years without being able to pinpoint both a leak source and an unreliable burner lightup. Have been doing my own Aquahot tuneups for years and thought I understood the basics. As bad luck would have it the AH finally gave up while on the road this week. The good (very good) news is that it occurred as we were within striking distance of Houston. Thanks to Tom Truk we hooked up with Rudy.
Yesterday Rudy spent most of the day coaching me through diagnostics and simple repairs which should solve the issues. I can’t praise Rudy enough for his help and the good humor that Beverly and I experienced with Rudy and later, his lovely wife Caroline. After receiving my “lesson” on AH maintenance, Rudy, Caroline and Beverly and I had a great lunch at The Monument Inn Seafood Restaurant near the San Jacinto Battle Monument. We had a terrific time and feel that we have made new and longlasting friends.
As an aside, Rudy mentioned while we were working on the AH that it isn’t Rocket Science. Come to find out that Rudy was an engineer on the Apollo Space Program so that he knows to what he speaks. Thanks Rudy and Caroline and Happy Trails.
