Private Forum ????
I think I have looked every where for some info on the “Private Forum”. Not sure if that is where the kinky folks hang out or if it is another name for private messaging like other forums. Wanted to find out before signing up.
Inquiring minds just have to ask. LOL

The forum was started a while back by some members who wanted to create a group called “PUP” which is short for Prevost Owners Posse. At the time they felt it was needed so they could say things privately without having their comments censored.
It has had little or no activity for quite a while probably because folks tend to say what they want on the open forum. Tom and I are not censoring member’s posts unless they get into the topics we do not allow such as politics or religion. We will censor a post that is negative to Prevost or one of our advertisers if the post is unreasonable such as “pressure pro is junk”, but we will not censor a post containing the exact same words if the statement is supported with facts that explain the statement constructively.
(Sorry Tom for picking on Pressure Pro). In case anyone is not aware Tom is the go-to guy for the Preessure Pro tire pressure sensing system so make sure you give him a call if you are thinking of getting one.
If anyone wants to be able to read or participate in the PUP forum I suggest you post that desire here and the folks who run that site can get you access.
BTW, if you have a club or group that does not have an internet forum and are looking for one as a means of having club discussions that you do not want in the public domain let Tom or I know. We went to some expense to set PUP up for the PUP members and now we can create private forums that are outside our control with almost no added cost to us or the club.

I have had private E-mails from here to my E-mail address and also I have contacted others including yourself by clicking on your name and E-mailing when ever there was more of a private matter. Just wanted to make sure that was OK.
I know other forums use the PM or private message for member to member off forum communication.
I don’t know what the difference is,,,, maybe hides the E-mail address ?

In everyone’s profile they have the option of receiving emails so if a member allows it anyone can communicate with them that way.
We discussed PMs way back when we were trying to design the forum and the web site and decided based on past experience PMs were not really private and adding that feature opened up access to members that might compromise their personal information. We have some folks on the site whose identity needs to be kept private and we don’t want to do anything that might compromize their anonymity. Tom and I and others had personal information go public and we did not ever want a repeat of that.
The private forum was not a substitute for PMs, emails or other forms of private information but was intended to allow friends ot have the kinds of discussion not visible to all.
