AUX Compressor is running continuously for some reason…driver steering bay

We left couple weeks from Florida, everything was running as it should, after couple days the compressor started running continuously. Send a friend to shut it down from inside the coach.

Arrived in Florida last night for the weekend, this morning I checked to see if maybe I left the yellow switch open to fill the Prevo system, NO it was closed.

Started the compressor, running as it should, but when it gets to 118/120 PSI is not shutting down, continue running.

Opened the yellow switch, filled the Prevo system, but when pressure was back up to 118/120 at the compressor, it was not not stopping, I shut it down.

So with the Prevost system switch OFF, compressor runs, gets to the set pressure but does not shut down as it should.

I checked/listen for leaks on the internal equip(Bath door, chair, bed, slide, no leaks/hissing sound. I do have a very small leak on the bath door, compressor used to run about 15 sec every 3-4 hrs, but not to the extend to run continuously.

What could be wrong, where do I start looking to correct the issue?

Possible Compressor pressure switch went bad?

I am guessing pressure cut out switch is going bad.

I agree with you on that, should be an easy fix. Just need to order the part and swap it in. You can test it by moving the contacts if you want.

I wonder if the compressor is worn just enough that it cant quite reach cut out pressure. Can you try turning the pressure down a bit and see if it shuts off?

Pressure switch went bad, need replacement, tried to find it, no luck, this is the part number, if anyone can provide an alternate/replacement nr.

you might need an adaptor, I think mine was a male fitting but the one i bought was a female, but I picked up the part to make it work at home depot and swapped it right in.

Hello, I did not take mine off and missed to take pictures from that side. In checking the part number on the net, I found a picture of used one where it shows it has a female/internal 1/4″ NPSF.

Is the part the same end as yours?

you can get a coupler that allows it to work

I assume is the same based on the same part number. Will find out in couple weeks, coach is in Florida.
