Air Soleniod
Here is a great soleniod valve if anybody wants to shut off air to something like air seats or such I used this on the prevost side of air stuff not used when parked order from Reliable Automation Devices 1-859-225-0051 part number UDW03-5G-02 this is a 24 volt normally closed it comes in 12 volt also it comes with 1/8 or 1/4 ports

Can you explain why someone would want to shut off the air to something? To avoid potential air-leaks?

If your aux air is hooked into the prevost aux tank then when parked it will not let air be used so the aux comp will not have to work if you have a small leak and most seats leak . I have put these in all my coaches so when parked the seat can not use any air when parked , I do not like the aux tank gauge to move at all if parked and not using any air for things , I like it just like the brake tanks not to move so I fix all leaks and put one in just in case , and then I put in a bypass valve just in case the soleniod valve ever failed to open when I turn the key on so I can just carry on like it was not there and drive the bus with no problems , and replace it if I want to. I use it to shut off all the prevost stuff that has air to it when parked . Not the converter air stuff .

Tim, This is part of the education you are about to receive regarding air leaks.
Some leaks are of little or no importance. Peter mentions the seat, but there are other things that remain pressurized with the key off that do not need air. I am not sure your vintage H3 has them, but as an example later model Prevost chassis have two small air manifolds. From the factory one of them has a Prevost installed solenoid valve that shuts down air to the manifold so if the air systems off that manifold do have leaks the solenoid shuts them off. The second Prevost installed manifold however does not have a shut off, so when the key is off all the systems and devices on that manifold always see pressure and thus can leak air. I looked at what was on my second manifold and saw no reason for anything on that to have air when the key is off so like Peter I added a solenoid valve.
Now I am trying to identify the remaining systems and devices on both the house and chassis that don’t need to have air when the bus is not running and I will do the same thing. Basically, when my key is off I only want air to several things, including my slide seals, dump valves, pocket doors and bed lift. I probably will send air to my generator air bags also but right now they hold air pressure without change for months on end.
Your pneumatic diagrams for the chassis on your coach will reveal if there is anything on your coach that needs air when the coach is not running. If there is allow that system to have air, but shut off everything else and you will have less leaks draining the aux tank. Your Marathon has a dedicated tank and system for the house, but there may also be house systems you would want to turn off also.
My solenoid valves are powered via the chassis electrical system and as set up only open when I turn the key on.

I do not mean to highjack this thread but I read the heading and thought maybe it was about a valve on the level low solenoid bank.
I have a Norgren solenoid coil bad on my front control solenoid valve and have not been able to find a part number on the coil. Also have done several searches on here and no help.
I did find a part number 641929 for the coil in 24VDC on Mango Mikes site, mine is labeled 12VDC but no part number.
Does anyone know the part number for this Norgren coil in12VDC ?
If I have no luck I will call Prevost this week, but I know it is better to have a part number first.

It has been reported on here that Prevost will sell individual components from the solenoid valve manifold, including the coil or the valve itself.
If you coach is indeed an Elegant Lady you just need to tell the part folks in Elgin what you need, perhaps ordering an extra or two to carry as a spare.

I intend to order a couple, actually found our coach takes three 12VDC and one 24VDC. The coil I suspected was bad was actually a 24VDC coil so the ohms were way off from the other three. And naturally that 24VDC coil is not marked.
Once I figured that out I found the real issue was the front control rocker switch, swapped it with one of rhe rear switches and works.
So now I need a rocker switch. Calling Prevost Monday morning.

You won’t get the 12v from Prevost, you have to go to Liberty or Jeff.

Is your Elegant Lady a 12 volt coach?????????? I thought they were all 24 volt coaches.

You are right Tom, Prevost said this coach was sold to Liberty with Prevost Level Low system which has the turn switch for the front, RR and LR control. This coach has four rocker switches for the controls.
Part number for these rocker switches is 511.141 made by SWF. They are a 3 position with 6 spade terminals.
Called Bill in ILL. and he is searching.
Jon, this coach Level Low system has 12VDC for the leveling Norgren solenoids and 24VDC for the drive function and it’s Norgren solenoid. That is what thew me off on testing the ohms on the coils.
Oh,,,, it is indeed an Elegant Lady,,, sometimes more “Elegant” than others.

I know the Classic has used 12V coils on the solenoid manifold, but yours is the first Elegant Lady I am aware of that uses a 12V coil. Prevost installs all 24V and when the system is modified by Liberty they use 12V when required, apparently on some Elegant Lady coaches.

Bill at Liberty did not have any switches,,,, only ones I found online were from Bus
Parts in Australia,,, waiting for them to wake up to complete the order. -

I have followed the AIR LEAK thread and I thank everyone for their input. I would like to know the supplier of the small air manifolds and 1/4″ ball valves. Thanks and see ya out there!
