How much air pressure is needed to inflate and maintain Generator air bags, belt tightner, Floor slide, toilet etc.

My generator air bag regulator is set at 35 psi. My Marathon aux pressure (separate from Prevost aux air) was set at 120 psi when I got the coach. Jon has mentioned in a post 120 psi is not necessary, so I lowered the pressure to a max of 85. The aux pump will come on at about 45 psi, and everything air-driven by that system works fine.

Our gen airbags have a regulator set at 14 psi. Engine belts have a regulator set at 50 psi. The pocket door has a regulator set at 30 psi. I have the aux compressor set to shut off at 70 psi and come back on at 55.

My generator has 2 tire type valve stems on it’s set at 35psi never have to touch it, my belts I put on a new air check valve on regulator and they never get loose now, toilet got rid of put in a Tecma silent plus toilet in and Lonestarace put in plugs in level system so it does not need to have aux air to keep air bags up so aux air does not have to stay up to use coach when it’s parked

Dan,
There are differences in pressures by converter based on installed components, so what might be right for Marathon may not be right for your coach. Mine are likely different than yours.

Along with suggested gen mini air bags pressure is a Pressure Relieving SMC regulator. Pressure relieving allows the increase heat in generator bay to self adjust keeping pressure at your setting. Marathon is 25 PSI.
Don’t have the “new” SMC part number which I understand was replaced recently.
Here is the previous correct heat relieving number;

And thanks to BA, I have one of those … gen air bags set at 25 psi (Marathon Aux).
Mini-Airbags for belts in engine compartment set to 50 psi (Prevost Aux)
My Air Slide is set to “0” … we never use it. (Prevost Aux)
My toilet is 12v, not air.

Peralko and Truk4u can drop Marathon AUX compressor much lower then other buses.
What makes the difference is the Marathon drop down sewer / electric service door. This Marathon Aux system was not on early 2000 Marathon’s thus lower PSI can be used.
If your Marathon has this drop down access door your min air pressure is 60 psi. Many owners keep around 100 psi so this door operates correctly on the first button press.
Picture shows yellow gate valve labeled /posted and suggested to be closed by Marathon. If you’re mixing both systems your introducing water into Prevost AUX air system.

Number one cause of leaking AUX air system….replace every 2 years or purchase a premium check valve.
