  • How to close converter side air

Posted by Fred on December 23, 2014 at 7:50 pm

My bus has a small tag with Converter on it hanging down from an air line with a small twist valve, my name for it, not technically correct I am sure. Anyway, you can screw it in clockwise or out the opposite way but it seems to have no effect. Close by is another valve with a small yellow open/close tab. I am not sure how to open or close off the converter side of the air system to help diagnose which side my slow leak is on. I have a 2009 CC conversion of a 2007 XL I I . Any help or guidance appreciated.

Can you take a pic and show us the area?

It is almost a certainty the leak is on the converter side. With the exception of the slide seals I think your vintage coach has solenoid valves that Prevost installs to shut air off to various accessory functions installed by Prevost.

You should be able to verify the slide seal is not the culprit by reading the pressure gauge. With the accessory air system at zero pressure the slide seals should still show pressure

The seat might be a good place to look.
