Sewer hose support
We were in a RV park in Palm Springs and they said the Sewer hose wasn’t suppose to touch the ground so I was going to get one of those blackplastic spider legs supports but I don’t think it will fit under the edge of coach because in level low it’s to low for that. Our Foretravel was low also so I never used anything. Any suggestions on this?

I have these things that are like a white plastic gutter. They can plug together to make it longer. I just rest it in this gutter. I also always try to make a “p trap” with the hose to keep any bugs out! I’ll get a photo when I can.

Art, our experience with our angled sewer pipe exhaust and a similar spider sewer hose support system, is that unless I keep the coach at ride height, I undoubtedly will have my sewer exhaust below the drain pipe. It’s been our experience over the past 2.5 years of full timing. In fact, I try to use my sewer support but often end up having the slope in a reverse angle to what you would want. The bottom of my sewer tank is still above the drain but the hose does not empty by gravity.
IMHO, I believe the gutter type support system may give you better options on most instances, or at least lower the reverse slope you may end up with.

Over the last 2+ years of full-timing, I have one of these and use on occasion, but not very often are they required.
In low level, it does crush the plastic, but I’ve still been able to use it without extensive damage.

I have never heard of this. Can someone explain the reason for this requirement to not let the hose touch the ground? Thanks,

It’s apparently the law in Arizona. But anything between the sewer hose and the ground makes them happy. I use the above pictured support coming down forming a P trap then up to the support. The hoses touches the ground at the tangent, but it is under the coach and I have never been called on it. If I am I’ll add a block under the tangent. And meet the requirement.

Hi Group,
after I purchased the 97Prevost, Royale #201 I quickly learned that the design of the holding tanks outfall thru the floor is very low to the ground and the majority of sewer hookup in the parks were always way higher and uphill from the sewer hose hookup, besides keeping the hose off the ground.
I purchased a portable marcerator pump and 40′ of hose. No more cursing, not more walking waste down the line. And you can always use it as a fire hose in an emergency…gray water.
When done disconnect put away….I dont wash cloths in the coach, so I really dont stay hooked to sewers.

In AZ state parks there will be a major fine (in the hundreds) if you drip fluid from your waste lines.
