Gray Tank Indicator Calibration
Posted by Ronald on April 11, 2017 at 2:25 amI noted that the Gray Tank indicator lights do not read properly. I did a dump and still have 10% indication. How do I adjust or calibrate the indicator lights?

Until you add some coach information in the signature line nobody can answer the question because there are so many different tank level indicators used by different converters.
This is not a Prevost question so I will give some time for this response to be read and then I will move it to Plumbintg.

I suggest getting a level gauge cleaner. They sell it at camping/RV stores. Put in 3 or 4 bottles to the grey tank. fill up tank to about 1/4 way. take bus for 30 minute drive to slosh around the cleaner. The idea is to clean any gunk off of the indicator sensors.

Not all tanks have sensors and some of those that do may not need cleaning but calibration which is why no answer is going to be helpful until we know something, like the conversion or type of tank level sensor.

Does that stuff really work? If so, can it be bought at Camping World? Anyone have experience with it positive or negative? -
Are you guys serious? Dick, you don’t even have level sensors.

That’s your display. You measure the contents by the pressure of the water column on a tube that goes down inside your tank. It translates the pressure reading to an electrical signal shown on the display..
That is just one type of tank level device which is why without any information from the fella that started the thread no information provided here is valid.

Ronknowless,
Jon is correct, more information is needed to answer your question. What type of tank indicator is it, model # if you have it. Sounds like Jon know his stuff when it comes to the Tank Sentry items from Headhunter, he was dead on when it came to Dick’s unit. Dick your unit is calibrated from the main unit and a tank cleaner would not help in calibration.

Trust me, Jon knows his **** about holding tanks. I’ve met him, he knows his ****!
This post is a year old. What happened to Mr. Knowles? He never responded or updated his signature as Jon suggested.
