DI systems for bus rinse
Anyone familiar with this company for spot free bus rinse systems? Good or bad experience? Any suggestions on other DI systems suppliers? http://www.portablewaterdi.com/deionizers.php

Real men wash their coach with hard water and then use a ladder and a lot of towels to dry it before the water spots.
There is one word of caution regarding coach washing. According to Bill Jensen avoid aiming a pressure washer spray at the joints between panels on XLII coaches. There is sufficient power behind the sprays to loosen the bond and literally drive water in behind the panels.

What makes a real man out of you is trying to wash a dirty bus in the hot sun with hard water and alternating between washing a section and then grabbing a ladder and a bunch of towels to try to get it dried before those dreaded white hard water spots appear. At the end of cleaning the bus you are worn out.
You might think of teaching Elsie to get up on that ladder with the towels while you sit in the lawn chair spraying the dirt off.

I have a CR Spotless DI system. It has revolutionized washing my vehicles. Hard to believe, but there is no need to dry anything, even a black car and glass.
I set mine up on a low power electric pressure washer that really only provides a fine mist of water, but enough to reach the high parts. This unit in no way can provide a stream strong enough to damage anything. It is really a way to provide good coverage of water without consuming mass quantities of the expense DI water.
A quick rinse down with DI water, soapy wash down with quality auto soap and a super-soft brush on a pole, thorough rinse with DI water and DONE!
It is also noteworthy that while getting a great wash and rinse, you do not use that much water. I find it efficient for my DI media, but those who are motivated by conservation would like it too.
Wish there was room for one in the bays, maybe on the next bus…

I bought a unit from on the go it is wonderful we not leave spots no drying needed also use on my black truck works great.I also use on house windows works even better, we’ll worth the money.

I also bought the C/R Spotless DI system….Works well + No Drying, no spotting. I wash a black car as well with good results. I do not have mine hooked to my pressure washer, but it works fine with the extended rinse wand.

I have used the Spotless Di systems for 5 years, works great and there customer support is the best as well. It took Jon forever to get slides too. He will come to use a Di system soon enough.

Me too, DI is the way to go. I’ve used Invisable Chambois for years, but if I did it again, I would buy the type you can recharge yourself. I have to send mine back to be re-charged, a PIA and expensive.

Huge difference! The deionizing system takes all the dissolved solids out of the water which is where the spots come from as the water dries on the coach.

I also have a DI system in my coach for washing purposes. I purchased mine about 8 years ago from Culligan. I have a separate charcoal filter tank and then a DI tank. I can run about 600-800 gallons of water through the system before it needs to be regenerated, I purchase new media through the internet and fill it myself. Very easy. Regeneration time varies depending upon the quality of water going through it. I have found that the water in Arizonia and California really requires the tank to be regegenerated more often,
The DI tanks are connected to an electric pressure washer from psi. What I really love is the foaming bottle. No more buckets for me. I spray the side with the foamer, use a 20″ wide microfiber brush and I can knock the job out really quick. After I rinse I spray foam with the red powder which is similar to a quick detailer. I lightly spray and the coach has a just waxed look afterward.

Truk’s better half Nancy and I watch Truk wash his bus this summer in KC on lawn chairs pointing out missed spots. They do not allow me to post parts of that conversation
