It sounds like the thermostat assembly needs to be replaced. There are a number of them on line for prices ranging from $71 to $99.

I hope the weather cooperates so you don’t have to push snow most of the way.

Maybe we will cross paths this winter. You going to oysterfest?

I assume you have the water heater which heats by electric and engine coolant circulation. If this is a recently ocurring problem, it may be the thermostat but I suspect the coolant circulation valves are too far open allowing the water temp in the hot water heater to exceed the thermostat setting during extended engine operation causing the thermostat to trip. Of course, if the engine is overheating, that would cause the same issue but I’m sure you would have noticed that. On my coach, the circulation valves were located near the webasto in the left rear (behind the wheel compt….45 footer) but there may also be a valve at the water heater.

Rick will have to confirm this, but I suspect it is tripping out while on shore power only.

The overheating while circulating engine coolant is such a serious issue I added a second thermostat and a solenoid valve to control the flow of coolant and limit the HW temp when heating with coolant (that sounds funny) to the same limits as the electric heater thermostat set points. I’ve done that on 2 coaches now.

Jon I hope our paths cross this winter. We will be in Fl Ocala, Tampa twice and the Keys for the month of feb.

We won’t be able to attend oyster fest. We’ll be back home March 21.

The tripping does happen while on shore power. Rick
