Slow drain, what’s okay to use?
So the shower drain is really slow to drain. What is the best thing (or safest) to use to clear the drain line? Dont want to put anything down there that will cause issues with the overall system.

A snake or something that can catch and retrieve the hair. I wouldn’t use any chemicals.

Last time I had a slow shower drain I just lifted the decorative drain cover off the floor and used something or other to fish hair out of the drain pipe.

Same as Joel, clean the drain, it’s full of Tam’s hair.:) I use a piece of wire with a hook on the end.

Fortunately Triple F and myself never have an issue with our shower drains.
Mark M can’t even imagine a drain with hair in it.

Interested in anyone knowing the length of the shower drain pipe before it hits the holding tank. I assume there is a p-trap like the other plumbing fixtures, excluding the toilet.
