  • Grille removal in front dash ac

Posted by George on August 26, 2019 at 10:17 pm

There is a grille in the dash in middle of front but can’t find way to remove.

Service manual indicated there is a filter that needs to be cleaned for dash air?

    any help on this appreciated.

On my 1995 it’s the whole panel from the door to the backup screen. Then lift and wiggle it free .

On my 01 H Vantare, like Jeff, I have to remove a panel from the front door to the center of the lower dash, then slide the filter out. Converters did us no favors on cleaning filters. Pop the screw covers off, unscrew and carefully flex panel and the filter is center of the lower dash.

This is just a general comment. Owners have to realize that while converters tend to retain certain design features from coach to coach, it is important to understand designs are always evolving, floor plans change, and converters may not always do things the same from coach to coach.

It is important when asking questions to understand a correct answer with respect to a specific coach may not be 100% accurate for every coach.

Sorry I didn’t see this post earlier but this grab rail and trim has to be removed. Then slide the panel toward the door. I know your thinking there had to be a easier way to change a filter and I agree.

Not unusual, I’ve had to do on some conversions as well.
