Are you using the electric side or the diesel side? Have you tried both ways?

With diesel ON, you should have unlimited hot water. If plugged in, turn both diesel and electric ON when showering.

If your hot water faucets are flowing cool water, please call John as I have no idea except for a outside utility bay with both the cold and hot valves open but no water coming out due to shower head turned off. The hot water goes through the open valves reducing hot water upstairs.

Rudy, With this new boiler installed is it supposed to produce endless hot water as the old one did with the pipes on the outside of the boiler, this one has the domestic pipes inside of the boiler which I thought was better but we can’t get any quantity of water at all. We have adjusted the mixing valve up and down with no success.

A rebuilt 431 will have same location for freshwater loop unless John is opening the tank, inserting a 50 foot coil of half inch copper tubing including the two penetrations for the tubes and re-closing the tank, tons of work. Your coil should be around the outside of the tank covered in heat transfer mastic. The newer 600D heaters have the coil in the tank from the factory and use GRAS boiler fluid instead of antifreeze.

The fresh water coil has no restrictions to water flow including mixing valve. Low water flow is somewhere outside of the heater.

Plus, I had guy call me about no hot water from new heater who had connected the coach water lines to the heater reversed. You might check for that. Solved his problem for no hot water. He did have good flow though.

Ours has the pipes inside the boiler (55ft) lots of pressure but not much hot water we used camco antifreeze as per JOHN.

I believe My coach came with the AHE-101-100. Always have used the electric side of it and never have had a problem. Plenty of hot water. I tried the diesel side a few years back and it smoked like a freight train and haven’t used it since. Think it needs a new nozzle. If I ever get down Rudy’s way, gonna holler at The Guru.

Well then, my only guess is cold water line from coach is connected to heater’s hot water out.

Should the burner start as soon as the domestic hot water cools down a few degrees or does it start when the glycol cools down to the setting where it calls for the burner to start?

The burner responds to a call for heat from the control thermostat that senses the coolant tank temp, not fresh water temp.

    Same applies for electric element.

With the tank up to operating temp and burner turned on, hot fresh water should start and hold at about 115 to 120 degrees F.

Hi Rudy, for your info on my aqua hot looks like the heating coils are crossed so had to send it back to Carrillo, lot of lost time and frustration so hoping its right when it comes back.

John is very good but none of us are perfect. I am sure he will work hard to take care of you. It will be fine soon, just unfortunately not today.

None of us wish anyone this delay. Hang in there please Sir.
