aqua hot buttons
I have three different areas to turn on my aqua hot …1 on each side of the bed and 1 in main breaker pannel…Does anyone know why do the two in the bedroom blink when it is on? and the one in the main pannel stays solid?

I can not directly answer your question. But I can tell you how the Aqua Hot heater reacts to being turned On.
There are two heat sources that can be turned On. The 120 vac heating element works on shorepower or generator power. When the heater sees an On signal from the coach, usually a relay is closed providing 120 vac to the heating element. Normally the interior switch has a light go On that shows the switch is in the On position. This light only shows the switch is in the On position. It does not show the element is working or even if the heater got the On signal from the switch, just the switch is in the On position.
The diesel burner can be turned On by a switch in the coach that has a light also. But the light by the switch is not controled by the switch. The On signal sent by turning the switch On goes down to the Control Unit mounted on the side of the burner. When the Control Unit sees the On signal it sends 12 vdc back to the light by the switch turning it On. This shows that the burner knows it is allowed to run if needed. This light stays On continously until the switch is turned off or the burner fails to fire and faults. The situation of the burner switch On and no light is a sign the burner has faulted. The heater in a Prevost does not bilnk the On switch light to my knowledge.
How the coaches On switches are arranged is decided by the coach builder. Hope this helps.

Victor, I’m told that my American Coach conversion has an electrical system very simlar to your Vantare. On mine, the electric heating element is controlled by the breaker marked “Aqua Hot” in my main breaker panel. I have two switches to enable the burner, one in the bedroom and one on the dash. These light (solid) when the burner is enabled and they function regardless of the position of the switch for the electric element in the main breaker panel. I suspect that both of your bedroom switches enable the burner, but I have no idea why they would blink. Try turning off the switch in the breaker panel and turining on the one by the bed. The burner should ignite if the water in the tank is cool enough.

On a Vantare, these switches are all in “parallel” , including the bicolor relay that changes the color of the switch from off to on. If the ones in the bedroom are blinking, you probably need to change the bicolor LED in the switches. That is the number 1 cause for such an observation. swap the led’s out with those of another switch function, and I’ll bet the condition goes away or follows the LED and not the switch.

Ben, thanks for the info…I do beleive that my switches are not led but bulbs? Do you know if I can buy new bulbs anywhere? thanks
