Front Bus A/C compressor leak
Compressor leakiing on both sides where snap rings are. Works fine , no functional issues. Can the snap rings just be replaced or is their seals behind the rings to be replaced ? Any experience with tthis?

There are orings behind the piece behind the snap ring. The snap ring only holds it all in place. You will need to evacuate the system, disassemble, vacuum the system add oil and recharge.

There are seal kits available for the TM 31 compressor but I don’t know if it is worth the trouble. Never put one in.
Call Jeff Rowe at ETLC and he can tell you if the kits work.

Interesting Darrel. Didn’t know freon mixed with the oil .

Kind of mixing. The oil keeps the compressor moving parts lubricated and it is not like freon intentionally carries oil through the system, but oil does migrate to an extent as freon flows.
That is why the quickest way to identify an A/C leak is to look for a black oily smudge at a fitting or leak in a hose. The freon, under pressure is carrying a little oil with it as it escapes the system.
