If I had an AquaHot that might need service I would start with a phone call to their technical people. They might be able to trouble shoot the problem for you and it could turn out the fix is very simple.

The only time I’ve had trouble with my 115v water heating, it was because the temperature limiting switch had tripped. It is designed to keep water temps in the heater below ??? and will shut off the heater when temps exceed that level, presumably due to a bad water heater thermostat. However, if your water is also heated by an engine loop, those temps could trip your switch. On my heater, the switch was a red button located behind a screwed on access panel on the water heater itself. If it is tripped, you should probably locate an existing valve in your engine to water heater cooling loop and close slightly to reduce circulation.

I think someone with a Royale and aquahot needs to jump in. My coach had a webasto with a separate elecric water heater. The reset button was behind a panel on the water heater.

The Aqua Hot should be in the last bay on the passenger side. There should be a circuit breaker in the electric panel that is most likely in your bedroom. There is also a switch under the sink in the kitchen that turns on the electric heating element. There is a switch on the dash that turns on the diesel burner of the Aqua Hot. Next to that switch should be one that says “Heat Ex”. That switch runs a pump that pumps water between the engine and the Aqua Hot. The engine can heat the Aquq Hot ot the Aqua Hot can heat the engine. There is a removable cover that encloses the left 25% of the Aqua Hot unit. There are several 12 volt fuzes that need to be checked. Also in that area is a cover that when removed has two thermostats, one is for low temp the other is for high temp that controls the electric heating element. I had one of those go bad. Easy to replace.

    Check 110volt circuit breaker.

    Check switch under sink

Check fuzes in Aqua Hot unit

    replace fuel filter

    replace fuel nozzle.

Those steps will usually get it working. Any other problems may require a technician to wor on it.

I will try to post the manual that I have in the articles section. It may not be the exact one you need, but may help in getting knowledgebale in the basics.

The electric hot water heater is part of the Aqua Hot system. There is an electric element inside the water tank of the Aqua Hot that heats the water.

I just sold my 1997 Royale , I stated to run out of hot water I rebuilt the aqua hot new mixing valve new fuel pump new and so on the electric switch is under sink and in the breaker box in bedroom , I always left the diesel burner switch on and the electric so if it could not keep up the diesel would come on it does not hurt it to do that hope that helps I always left the valves on the enigine wide open make sure it has enough antifreeze in it
