Cruisair Output Temps?
Today I got a 14 degree differential between inlet and outlet temps from my 3 Cruisairs, not 30+ like I stated in a previous post. ???? I’ve got a theory, AIR MIXING, or lack thereof.
When I get 30+ degrees differential I’m getting the outlet temp from deep inside the duct work w/my IR temp gun. The temp is taken from a place where no ambient air has had a chance to mix with the COLD air coming from the evaporator.
Today, when I got only a 14 degree differential, I was using our household countertop digital units that I set on the edge of the air outlet areas where the COLD air has already mixed w/ambient.
IMO, I think the best way to tune a Cruisair for max differential is by getting the temp at the suction/low side king valve. Slowly add R-22 until the temp doesn’t decrease anymore.
