  • CRUISE AIR PLM BOARD ID

Posted by joel on July 7, 2015 at 12:27 pm

Having a problem with a mostly dark SMX II control panel that I ‘ve lived with for awhile but now the A/C blows warm so I need to fix. Plugged in a new panel and no change. Seems to me I had this issue a long time ago and Troy suggested a PLM board. Pretty sure I found a bad connection at the PLM board caused that problem. Went to check connections first but PLM boards are numbered 1,2,3 and 4 on my Liberty. Anyone know how these numbers correspond to my 4 cruise-airs which are located salon, port, starboard and stateroom.

I don’t know how they correspond, but absent an answer unplug them one at a time and see which A/C isn’t working or displaying. Like you I believe life would be so much easier if things were labeled with full descriptions, and that includes everything from electric terminals, fuses, circuit breakers, air hoses, etc.

Got it figured out and, yes, it was a dirty connection at PLM board. I have no idea how these parts function in a marine environment for which they were supposedly designed. My cars have positive locking sealed connectors!
