I had an opportunity to test drive a 2010 Outlaw XL II with LED under frame lighting. It was a nice effect for the coach. Attracted alot of attention when we arrived at a truck stop. Good feature or option.

You don’t list a bus so I don’t know what you have but I can assure you it isn’t like hanging Christmas lights.

The converters charge around 10k to do it and I’ll give you some reasons why.

1st you have to figure how you are going to power them, then you have to verify voltage as to how much you can have on a strand.

I did mine and it is labor intense. You need to find led lighting with the 3m sticky backing, I bought rolls of 12 or 15 ft. Then you need a metal channel to secure to the bottom of your bus. They sell all these kits together if you look.

Get under your bus and pop rivet the metal channel all around the underside of your bus, then run your lights in the channel and when connecting the runs you have to sodder all the ends for secure connections.

You will have to cut out insulation on your frame in the middle of the bus to run the metal channels for a even look. I purchased plastic covers that clip onto the metal channels for protection and ease to clean them.

Most important you have to fuse your power line. I have mine programmed thru my Techlink system and is operated with a extra dash switch.

There is another option but I wouldn’t do it to my bus. You can run hangers every 5 ft and get some rope lighting and string it like a Xmas tree.

If you want it done right there is way more to it than what I typed and I can help you. I use mine at night all the time for doggie duty and I installed cool bright lights so I can see. It makes a huge difference.

Also if someone irks you in a campground we put the pimp lights on and they close their shades. My trailer is done also so it makes for a nice display.

My friend Roger at Signature coach helped me and it is done better than factory but to do it right is labor intense. I have 3500 dollars in lights and channels and covers alone.

I will try and post a picture but I have a hard time doing that. I couldn’t attach it, I’ll send a picture to Truk and maybe he can.

The bus was just delivered yesterday so I haven’t had a chance to see how the lights were done yet. I’ll try to look later today and see what they used.
