Remote control power reel
Posted by Archived on October 2, 2014 at 9:35 pmnow that I have fixed my power reel I now turn to the remote control. The brand is Stealth, I have replaced the batteries in the remote but no worky. I googled the brand and can’t find them so probably out of business. Does anyone know of a repair or replacement? Or should I just push the button myself LOL! Thanks

Just for your information I notice that you are in Knoxville.. you are very fortunate because one of the best Prevost service centers is right here ready to help you.
East Tennessee Luxury Coach is in Vonore just a few miles from where you live… this place is awesome you can get all the help and knowledge you need right here… we are here at the moment along with several other PC members getting help with our coaches.
The owner Jeff knows about all the different years and conversions… I have been trying to catch him out on NOT knowing something but so far no luck he has had all the answers… I am sure he can put you on the right track.
Haven’t heard a bad report yet… infact we are about 900 miles from home just to get his help… I wish we were as close as you are.
Cheers, Diane

On the remote control issue: does the remote light up when you push the buttons? If yes, the remote is likely ok.
Assuming your Marathon is similar to ours, then there are two things to check.
1-The receiver for the remote is in the driver-side cabinet above the bed, behind the window (to get RF signal). There is a small compartment on the engine side cabinet wall. Inside is the antenna and receiver and a fuse. Check the fuse, mine was bad.
2-Second thing to check is the fuse in the rear stateroom closet. There is a black fabric/nylon cover over the Techlink/fuse/relay panel on the passenger side in the closet. Remove that cover (just held on by velcro). Admire the wall full of relays, Techlink controllers and fuses. Towards the rear of the bus there is a column of automotive style fuses. There is a 3 amp fuse with wire marked “Remote”. Check and make sure it is good and well seated.
Hope this helps,
Gerald
