You might need to manually check every lock. One of my bay locks clicks but it does not lock every time. I lock it with the key and the light goes out.

Ditto on our 2000 CC XL. Once you know which door(s) it is, just keep that one locked with the key until you need to open it. Needless to say it’ll be the one you use the most.

Yes, all mine will lock with the handles up to. But the plumbing bay does not lock every time when the handles are down. It is trying to lock. I can hear it clicking but it is not locking. Your problem may be different but try every bay after you have locked them with the switch.

If, indeed, you’ve verified all doors are locked, the door locks activate a micro-switch inside the door latch mechanism which is probably either defective or out of adjustment. These switches give a signal (as I recall) to a relay in the driver’s electrical compartment.
First thing I would do is verify (with key) that each lock is indeed fully extended in the lock position. I’ve had trouble with mine sticking. Next I would probably check the signals to the relay are proper (relay could be stuck) and then I would probably try to isolate the offending door. I believe the wiring coming out of the doors has a wire for the lights in addition to 2 wires for the lock itself. Try disconnecting one at a time.
My one singular typing finger is now tired, so I’m leaving. If you do have to open up a door, let me know because I have some addl hints once inside.

Peter,
Call me back, I lost your number.
The generator bay door is probably the problem, it was the only
one that would be intermittent. Lock the bays and then use the key to
to lock the gen bay and the light should go out. It liked frequent
silicone treatments. -
thanks Tom I found the problem both front bay door wires were pinched and cut one wire heat shrink connectors and the problem fixed unlike the water tap being on ha ha feel very sheepish about that but good to laugh at ones self thanks for everything
