Posted by George on June 30, 2020 at 10:39 pm

Looking at new inverters and there is a company with made in Reno Aims Inverters.

Their price for pure sine wave is much lower than competitive units.

Our bus had Promariner inverters when we bought it 4 years ago. I am pretty sure they are identical to the Ames inverter. We have found them to be very reliable without a lot of bells and whistles. One thing i would note is that they take about 50 watts to trip the load sensing device. This causes the microwave clock to cycle off and on if there is no other load. We just turn the microwave off when we are not using it. I assume more expensive inverters have a more sensitive load sensing circuit. I would buy the same again should they need replacing. For me and complex gadgets, less is more.

Jeff, can’t you delete the search function? That is always recommended for the common inverters such as Trace, Magnum, etc.

    Tom.

There is no way to do that on my inverters. You cannot even set the charge amps. Its 50A. Bulk charge and then steps down automatically. The only setting you can change is the battery type. The newer Aims that GMJDW is looking at are more configurable from what i gather. Thanks for the suggestion.
