  • Prevost slide limit switch

Slide goes out no problem but when it comes all the way in the pins don’t fire. Happened twice. First time I thought maybe the coach was imbalanced. I was able to get the pins to fire by bypassing in driver side bay slide electronics. One red light on and one off. I believe it is the front/living room slide that will not fire.

I called Prevost and they were very helpful. They suspected it is a limiting switch that needs to be adjusted. He explained it to me but sounded a bit more than I might want to take on.

We are heading to Canada in couple of months and will be close to the Prevost service facility in Montreal.

Prevost rep said I could probably use the manual overide to fire pins as long as slide is all the way in.

Any insight or suggestions. We are fairly new owners and have thoroughly enjoyed our coach so far and the sense of community is much appreciated.

Firing the pins is easy to do manually, but you MUST follow the procedure exactly after assuring the slide is all the way in. Firing pins without the slide all the way in can cause serious damage. Prevost can walk you through the process.
