Inverter(s) issue
Some background.
(1) 2000 Liberty Classic 12v DC coach
(2) Three Lifeline batteries 8D installed by Marathon May 2018
(3) Two Heart Freedom 25 Inverters vintage 2000
I rarely use the inverters as I do not dry camp. I am usually plugged in to my 50amp service year round and occasionally use the Generator. I have never had an issue with either of these power sources. The charger function of the Heart inverters fully functions. House batteries are maintained at 13v DC as shown in the first picture.
On the occasion that I have had to put the coach to sleep I have (1) turned the charger breakers off located on the main electrical panel, (2) turned Inverter 2 toggle switch off, then Inverter 1, then the 12v switch off and finally removed the watch dog ribbon cable to prevent possible generator start up. I have reversed this procedure to bring the inverters alive as well as the 12v dc system. See photos of various switches and watch dog.
So….today I removed the shore power just to see if the inverters were working. Both inverters are “dead” and no power is going to those circuits that are wired to the inverters (fridge, water pump, tv entertainment centre, fore and aft circuits).
The inverters have reset reset breakers on the face plate of the inverter and seem to be ok….I have not pushed any of these breakers.
The only other item that may be noteworthy is the power switch on the second inverter was turned off….I didn’t do it and think Marathon May have done this when the house batteries were changed out and inadvertently forgot to turn it back on. I turned this switch back on but it did not have any desired affect….in other words the inverters remain “dead”.
Seems to me that there is a logical solution as I can’t see both inverters not functioning.
So suggestions would be helpful to try to trouble shoot this gremlin. Thanks.
