Aux Reset
The attached pic shows my buttons contolling some of my electrical connections for my WH, Gen, Heat, and “Aux Reset” (far left).
Recently I’ve noticed that after I travel and plug back in, the Aux Reset is blinking. I simply press it to reset it.
My question is why does it blink?

what you describe is normal and part of the shore poewer up transfer process for a marathon. It’s blinks as it is transfering over to shore and then goes off

Got it …
I thought once the Inverters turned green on A/C1, the transfer was complete. Guess I didn’t notice this till recently.

Like Tim, I have to manually reset the aux when blinking.

so tom you have to hit the aux reset everytime you connect to shore to complete the power up process?
or do you have to press it only when you pull to much and trip it?

I’ve had virtually no load on my shore power when powering up…

This also happens on my Marathon. I press the Aux and nothing happens as it continues to blink. I hit it a few more times and finally the light goes off. I think Bill is right so next time I will just watch it go off by itself and let the system go through its cycle.

Interesting. We’ve never notice the “aux reset” blinking, because we are never inside in the bedroom when connecting utilities. Guess we need to watch now

I’m actually at Marathon in Oregon this week getting some work done.
Leon said the Aux Reset blinking is normal whenever you power-up thru shore power. It ensures there is never any load over 50Amp on either leg of your shore power. And like Bill mentioned, it should shut itself off after several minutes. Guess I’m not patient enough.
By the way, for those Marathon owners who depend on Leon’s knowledge and expertise, he told me he has five years until retirement. He is an outstanding resource for Marathon customer service!

Leon is my Hero! And that who is told me it was normal at least on my Bus. I am sure he did a better job of explaining it but it does take a minute or so and it really doesn’t matter if the coach has anything on or not in my case.
As soon as I turn on the main breaker in DS bay. it does its thing and when I hear the dish drawer beap I know it’s complete but I always make a habit of walking inside and checking that everything is normal and both inverters are showing AC good.
When I overload the system and exceed the 50amp limit… Aux reset will keep flashing until I press it.
My guess was this was Marathon’s attempt to keep an owner from having to go outside to reset the main breaker which I really have never had to do but aux reset many times when someone (wife or girls) do something they shouldn’t
Seems well designed and engineered to me.

Good points… I always go to the bedroom after powering up to check volts, amps, etc. and maybe I’m also too impatient, I just hit the reset when it’s blinking. It doesn’t do it every time, only occasionally. I think it only does it when I have the charger on, so if I have the charger time set to zero and floating as soon as I plug in, no reset blinking.
When Leon retires, we’re in trouble.:)

Like Bill said, when I plug into shore power the Aux reset light will start blinking. If I take a minute or so to walk into the bedroom to check that everything is ok, its usually already off and the AC1 line is green, if I turn on the breaker in the bay and walk straight in and check the aux reset light will be blinking, but only for about a minute. I sometimes will push it and other times not, and it has always gone off.
