Spot light remote
Posted by Joe on April 28, 2015 at 8:56 pm
My H3 has the standard spot light on the roof that requires a remote, that I don’t have and Marathon can’t supply. Can anyone help me with a possible supplier?Archived replied 11 years, 4 months ago 11 Members · 19 Replies -

Grizz, If you have a spotlight on the roof there must be a remote somewhere? I am not talking about a hand held wireless remote, but a pad attached to the dash that allows you to turn it on and off, plus rotate it plus move it up and down.
All my coaches had spotlights and they all had a square pad about 2 1/2″ mounted somewhere on the dash so I could operate it. The pad is hard wired.

I may have you covered Grizz, my spotlight was removed and I believe I have the remote. This is really going to cost you.
Jon – Marathon used a handheld remote for our vintage.

Jon, I believe that someone, perhaps Streamlight, makes a spotlight with wireless (RF?) remote control. Powerlline crews use them. May be that high-end convertors use them also. You would know that better than I.
Grizz, if it’s not hard-wired as Jon suggested, you can ladder up there and get make and model number and go from there. Maybe Marathon can’t supply it because it’s already there–wired!
Be careful.

Yes I use it every week to light up the corral where the horses stay to feed them and check on them

Peter, that’s what the sun is for………………….. sorry, couldn’t help myself.
-
Yes I agree but sometimes I get in at night and need to see and work with both hands
-
Peter, You sure you are not out there spot lighting deer? Gary

I have used mine several times to see low branches going in camp grounds and other places at night. I also use it to keep an eye on my tent at night during tent revivals. Now that I have the Rigid LED fog lights the spotlight seems pretty dim. I wish there was a bright LED as a direct replacement.
This is a picture of my remote, Griz.

Davy,
check with these Golight folks as they say that they have an LED Golight spotlight, so may have a replacement LED bulb aray for your Golight. Just a chance.

Gary,
Peter is the only rancher that I know that patrols his fence in a Prevost. And they say ranching doesn’t pay…
Sorry, Peter, but sometimes you make it just too easy, much like Jon 🙂

On the two Liberty’s I had never & on the Marathon I had never used the trash compactor, but on this Thompson
it has a ceiling fan and I love it

I suggested Grizz contact Leon and if this is what he has, I got him covered.

Thanks everyone who responded! Tom had one and generously offered it to me.
Case closed thanks to PC.
Now there’s nothing on my buckets-list at this moment.
