Help determining where a wire goes
I have a 1990 Marathon conversion. We had removed the dashboard to recover them. When I was re-installing the dashboards, I saw that a wire had been disconnected, or rather the solder connection broke. The wire has #12A designation on it. I don’t have a wiring diagram, but I do have the wire pull information. I can’t locate a #12A wire, but the #12 wire is for “Red Dot Blower”.
One thing that I also noticed is that the device that pulls in the door while driving wasn’t working either. When I touched this wire to some locations, the door pull would make some noise.
Is it possible for someone with the same configuration, take a look and tell me where the #12A wire is attached. I have a picture showing the back of the panel that is in question. It is the panel that has the wipers, heat/AC, and blower on it.
Let me know if you have any further questions or suggestions. I would like to get this dashboard all buttoned up.

The wires in this area on my coach are not numbered. However, if colors mean anything there is a black wire on the top right terminal (looking at the switches from the back) of the air lock switch. Based on your description of the air lock issue I would look for it to go there. I will post a picture shortly. Let me know if I can clarify anything. Good luck. Jeff

Rod, The image posted upside down. Oriented correctly its the second switch down on the left with the black wire on it. (Air lock) Sorry for the upside down picture. Its right side up on my phone. I have no idea how to fix it on here.

have you checked the wire for voltage or continuity to ground? Black may be a ground wire.

I looked at this a bit further today. Wire 12A broke its solder and is hanging loose. When I touch this wire to a power source, it will cause the latch that sucks in the door when traveling down the road. I am not able to find where this wire needs to be re-soldered to. When looking at the switch that engages and releases the door latch, I don’t see any place that this wire could have come loose from. The one place it does seem to come from, will only engage the latch but doesn’t allow the switch to dis-engage the latch.
In my wire pull documentation, there is no mention of a 12A wire. There is a 12 wire. the wire pull documentation says that wire 12 should be brown. However, it is a different color. Wire 12A is brown.
I just need to find the proper location of this wire so I can finish putting everything back together.

I sent a note to Leon at Marathon. He put me in the right direction. This wasn’t a Marathon issue but Prevost. I do have the Prevost wiring diagrams and I found the 12A wire. It also show where to re-solder the wire. If I have a wiring diagram, I can usually troubleshoot my issues.
However if you do look at your coach and see where the 5 location is on the switch, that would help. So many wires in that location, makes it hard to see where 5 is. Plus old eyes doesn’t help either.

The brown (#12A) wire goes to the left side (driver’s side) of the “DOOR LOCK” button/switch when looking down from the top. I can email you photos if you’d like.
