Surge in power?
When testing my 12 volt fuses in the electric bay left side second door back, I found the test light bulb was much brighter then normal. This was happening on a section of fuses, while all the other fuses tested the test light bulb was normal brightness. Any ideas to look for? Also the outside cargo lights all around the coach won’t shut off. Other than that we had a great weekend at the nascar race in NH. Rick

Your 12 volt test light has found some 24 volt terminals.

Suspect a relay is giving you problems Rick, I had one on one of the buses that when it got wet or damp, would not turn off the lights. Is your test light 12v and you’re testing a 24v source?

The fuses are 12v and I have tested them in the past. So I know there is a change some where. Rick

Rick, instead of the test light use a multitester and measure the voltage. Compare the buss voltage with the 24V buss. It should be 1/2 of the 24.
If your voltage on the 12 volt side is lower or higher than it should be look first at the house battery equalizer, and if that is OK look for loose fittings, corrosion, bad cable ends, etc.
Good luck on getting at the equalizer. Unless you put the entertainment center back in at least you will have quicker access unless yours has the batteries behind the tag axle.

I take it I have two equalizers. I found one in the house battery bay compartment, for the house batterys? The second is in the engine bay above the engine batterys, for the engine batterys? My entertainment center isn’t done yet. My uncle whom is building it was camping all summer. He is after it now so it will be finished shortly. I’ll post before and after pics in the update posts. The one in the electric bay should be the one for the generator battery and the other larger blue one in the engine area is for the house and chassis batteries.
