Go Off-Grid …
With an Eco-Flow Delta battery with solar panels.
I have been interested in solar technology for a while and have been considering adding solar power to our trailer since I do a lot of puttering around in the trailer (run power tools etc) and do have an AC unit etc and so forth.
My plan was to add 2-3 X 100W solar panels but of course that would require additional batteries (I know where to get them … 🙂 … )
Today, I did come across an article:
https://cleantechnica.com/2019/09/05/ecoflow-delta-battery-is-the-antidote-to-emergency-generators/
And I do like what I have read.
I have pledged on Kickstarter (have done this already several times) and expect to receive the following kit.
DELTA 1300 Clean Energy EcosystemDELTA with 1300Wh capacity and 1800W output. Recharge fully within two hours. Power 13 devices simultaneously. Built with aerospace-grade aluminum and high strength steel. Charge with any solar panel mat. Features 4x USB ports, 2x 60-watt USB-C ports, 6x Wall Outlets (US) or 4x Wall Outlets (Int). Including 3x 110W Solar Panel. Recharge DELTA to full in about 5 hours, depending on the weather. 7 days no-questions-asked return, lifetime battery warranty (KS exclusive!)This will cost me $1500
You can get this, sans solar panels, for half. Check the details here:
I know, I can have the same power and even more for less money and I do have a portable gas generator. However and whichever way you slice it, it is very loud, needs maintenance, needs plugs, filters and what have you.
So I am looking forward to receiving this kit in December. Just in time when we start spending another 3 months in Lajitas, Texas, across the road from the Big Bend National Park. I expect top see 88 days of sunshine so this will be a good time for testing and using this system.
