  • Directv Tracstar no workie

Posted by joel on April 16, 2016 at 12:25 am

Had issues with my tracstar in-motion a couple weeks ago. Now it won’t lock on to a signal. The antenna guy I called said there was a technology change a few weeks ago which basically made my satellite obsolete since (he said) they’re out of business. Bottom line….need a new satellite. Anybody else having problems in the last two weeks with a tracstar on directv?

    Joel,

Do an internet search. There is a software upgrade that fixes the problem. Jeff did mine, but the software is available for downloading along with instructions

    Joel:

Same problem here as working with Liberty now to trouble shoot as you must have 3.15G or higher software, which I do and still no connection. Since AT&T purchased Direct TV, didn’t think the service could get worse.

Will know this week if it will eventually work or head to the trash, the latter is my vote as has been a PIA and one of the most aggravating issues with coach ownership!!!

I have the same problem and called the old track star number and they had me call Newsome in Ocala Fl but he did not have any parts so I called Troy at Liberty and I decided to install a wineguard because the chance of getting parts does not sound good for the long term.

While having local channels, cable TV or our preference, Direct TV is nice, we are carrying a lot of DVDs, especially some of the old TV shows and when we have issues, we just pull and play one of our discs. I’m OK without any TV, most of the time preferring to read.
