  No power from Gen

  Cranked up gen and no power to bus. When plugged in no problem. Flipped all breakers still no power. left gen running about 3 minutes and will wonders never cease with these buses, the power came on! Turned Gen off several times and recranked and it worked ok. My question is : can you in any way lubricate or adjust the transfer switch? Thanks for any suggestions! Dan

  As with all things mechanical, or living for that matter, the old saying “use it or lose it” applies. If you can access any moving parts in transfer switch, you can try aerosol electrical contact cleaner and a bit of emery cloth on any contact points depending on type of switch. If you are really brave a drop of dielectric grease on moving electric parts could work wonders and prevent corrosion.
