wiring
I just bought a 1992 prevost xl converted by monaco. I think the coach was number 118 but not sure. Anyway I have a lot of paper work for the coach but nothing on the conversion wiring. I have buzzers going on and have no idea what the problem is. Any help would be appricated.

Ok, I bought the coach and drove it home with no alarms at all. When I took my wife out for a ride we started to get alarms at the dash. Now at that time I had not dumped the black tank. That was the reason for the short ride. Ther buzzers are not on all the time and all seem to come from the dash area. I can hear something clicking or trying to cyclue in the dash but cant seem to locate what it is. By then the alarams go off. I realize this is not discribing my problems but I will try to get a video of the dash area and any buzzers that are working

We have a number of Royale owners on this site, but I can anticipate they will need some additional information before being able to help.
Buzzers and alarms are everywhere on our coaches ranging from tank level alarms, to CO detectors, to alarms associated with the chassis such as low pressure alarms on the air systems to alarms for the stop engine to the check engine lights.
If you can provide specific information about conditions when the alarms are sounding, where the alarm is or appears to be coming from, and if there are any lights associated with the alarms it would help. Almost without fail when an alarm sounds it is associated with something being out of range such as low air pressure, a full holding tank, a low water tank, or a fault in the DDEC engine control system. Each has a different location. Keep in mind your conversion may not have the same floor plan as the next Royale owner’s coach so when you give locations try to describe not only the physical location in the coach, but if it is associated with a device or specific area such as a switch panel.

Dennis. When do the buzzer or alarms sound. One very loud one in our Royale comes on if we start the engine while plugged into shore power. When we first got our Royale it took a while to figure this out. Hope you can get help from someone here at PC. We have owned our Royale for 7 years and still ever so often some things still pop up on the conversion part of the coach.

Thanks Peter for the help. Will do. I know the previous owner towed and I did also with an ford edge after I bought in 2011. Gonna check wiring after we get home after the trip to see grandaughter. On the bright side , the wife will behind me for 200 miles today and not fussing bout my driving or my 14 year old great dane dog. He a gasser.

You can also do the bulb kit, straight flat 4 wire to the front, that’s what I always do.

Thanks Tom. Will check it out when I get back. I bought a magnetic set yesterday and was just gonna run wire system from coach to back. Guy musta got something crosswired on plug in front bumper of Ford. . Keeps blowing pushbutton breaker in electric box above motor and stop lights don’t work on Prevost. Will check it out when i get stopped.

I had a 2014 Ford F-150 I towed for one summer. The bulb sockets did not work that great because of how the housings are built and the light output was wimpy. I added one of those LED strips under the tailgate to supplement the original lights. It made a huge difference.

some things I would check
1-do a ground continuity check on the wires at the trucks bumper connections terminals. looking for a short.
2-do you have diodes just before the lights? prevents feedback into the system.
I do what Tom suggested and is the same concept as the magnet lights. Just a separate system independent of the cars light.
I really like the LED suggestion because you will has really bright lites.
