Ordering airbags part number
Called Prevost and gave them Vin V1026085 1997 Chassis
They said I need
630151 for steer
630260 for drive
630259 for tag
Anyone recently getting airbags please confirm numbers you used
There are several post about wrong airbag will limit up travel on leveling system.

This is what I have seen posted on the forum. I don’t know if 40′ or 45′ makes a difference.
Steer x 2 – Prevost# 630259, GY# 1R11-244(MaeWest)
Drive x 4 – Prevost# 630104, GY# 1R11-088(DoubleFlare)
Tag x 2 – Prevost# 630259, GY# 1R11-244(MaeWest)

I’m with Bill on this one, but I am going by memory. Having said that however my recollection is based on a solid axle 97 model coach. If you have IFS your numbers are probably different for the steer.
The drive and tag numbers I think are correct.

My bus had the wrong bags on the front(non-Mae West) and wouldn’t raise above normal ride height. Folks here on the forum convinced me not to buy the steer axle bags that Prevost was trying to sell me. I listened. Art listened, and others have listened. Now our bus will raise 4″ above normal ride height.
Here is what me and Art(and others) have put on our bus. Me and Art have 40 footers with rigid front axle. I’m not sure what a 45 footer takes or a 40 or 45 footer with IFS? Hopefully someone will speak up.Steer x 2 – Prevost# 630259, GY# 1R11-244(MaeWest)

George’s bus, based on model year has IFS so his steer axle will possibly be different. I see no reason why his tag and drive will not be the numbers listed above.
I fought a long and contentious fight with Prevost a long time back about the part numbers they were supplying and at that time it was because they somehow transposed the 259 with the 260 air bags. We thought it got corrected but apparently not.

George: Attempted to reply to your private e-mail but, for some reason, my e-mail would not go through.
My coach is a 1999 45′ chassis with IFS. In 2017, Prevost sold me 630151 for front which I installed and have been on coach since. The front does raise above normal ride height but it moves more slowly than the rear. I have no reason to suspect these were incorrect. I believe bags replaced were original and I noted no difference in performance.
Recently installed 630260 on drive.

Most HD truck shops have airbag parts manuals that cross reference part numbers between various manufacturers and suppliers. Those books also have diagrams showing mounting plate geometry as well as fittings.
It has been my experience that a HD truck parts seller has better prices on just about everything compared to the vehicle manufacturer. (Kenworth, Volvo… Prevost ?) For the very same part, from the same manufacturer with the same part number.

Someguy, you are correct about finding better prices, but when it comes to our airsprings, Prevost has the best prices, especially when they put them on sale for a month each year.
