Salon (front) slide won’t extend 2006 XL2 CC
We are currently in Foxboro Mass and are having a problem with our Salon slide on our 2006 Prevost Country Coach. It worked fine in/out on our trip from Florida, but when we arrived here it will not extend. I’ve been working with both Prevost and Tradewinds on the diagnosis today, but thus far no luck. Here’s the current status:
– These are Prevost Slides, done by Prevost, not the converter
– Slide will not extend, rear bedroom slide works fine
– Have checked the main breakers – they are fine
– Have checked and reset (a few times) the six breakers in the slide electronics bay and tested voltage on both sides of the breakers – all good
– The control panel for the slide has indicator lights to indicate whether the slide pins are “locked” or “unlocked”
– The indicator lights on the control panel are indicating that the two upper pins (middle and top) are “unlocked” and the two bottom pins are “locked”
– However, on physical inspection, it looks like ALL the pins are locked. Further, when locking or unlocking the pins manually using the manifold in the bay (FPL, or FPU functions), the pins DO indeed move in and out. i.e. they lock and unlock – all of them. However, the controller continues to indicate that the four upper pins are not locked.
– The “in and out” switch is not functioning at all, however, it does have voltage to both sides of the switch
Any insight would be appreciated. It seems like New England has a void of expertise in Prevost as the closest Prevost service center is in New Jersey.
