  • Wheel Lug Torque

Posted by Art on February 25, 2022 at 9:55 am

On my 97 book says to torque wheels (stud centering) to 450to 500 lbs, I torque them to 465 lbs, I use a Proto long torque wrench all I can manage is 465 lbs. Anyways one of my Aqua Hot customers is a truck guy and he says 450 to 500 is to much for stud centering wheels he said that will crack the wheels at studs? he said 300 to 350 is good for those wheels, What is correct?? are stud centering wheels called BUD wheels ??
