I got replacement struts from Prevost. $28 each for my H3, should be similar for you. Careful when replacing. Prop the door full open with a strong prop and/or have a strong assistant to keep the door up as you remove/replace the old strut

Got mine from Prevost. Part # 980030. They were on sale back then (July 2014) for 24.99 each. Replaced every one of them. If your baggage door that does not want to stay up has the pockets for the folding chairs, new gas cylinders may not keep them up with both chairs in them. Mine will only stay up with one of the chairs stored there.

I believe a 97 coach has two holes for the gas struts in the door and one of them provides better mechanical advantage for doors with chair pockets.

I bought new struts for both first bay doors, told the parts guy at Prevost JAX that I had two chairs in each of the doors and he said I needed the heavy duty ones. I thing they were pretty expensive … $225 or so for four of them.
