  • Prevost Windshield Promotion

Posted by Darcy on January 16, 2017 at 10:56 am

I received an email promotion on windshields from PREVOST.
When I looked on the list, my #300489 (XLII) did not appear on the list.

I phoned PREVOST parts and they told me that #300475 (on the
list) would fit my coach, the only difference was that it was not tinted. Given
my Liberty has black cabinetry I’m wondering if it would even be noticeable, if
I replaced both windshields. The un-tinted windshields are less than half
price, 2 for 1! Would anyone have any experience
    or thoughts?

Prevost tinted our windshields so I would ask for them to do the tint prior to install.

    Darcy,

Jeff did ours and he installed black out on the inside top at the exact same height as the old windshields so you can’t see the backside of anything up top. Not sure if that is what you mean by tinting.

    Hope that helps

I think if I look at my existing windsheilds that the top 8-10″ has a tinting, I’m thinking that the all clear windsheild are likely for bus operators! With the promotion price from PREVOST it seems to be the way to go, I just didnt want to get them installed and find out it looks poor! I think what youre suggesting Jeff did would be a good alternative!

Darcy all the windshields I have put in have always been clear and we added the black out tint on the inside I like it down lower on the front about level with the bottom of the cabinets it stays a lot cooler inside also you can’t see out that part of the window anyways so I just black it out. Prevost does it the same way on the XL ll they put the black out on just before they put it in . The last ones we did at jeffs and we did it the same way

Are you meaning the entire windshield is clear vs tinted like a car window or the tinting part you are talking about is just at the top like a sun shade e
