Steering Compartment
I’m missing the Prevost Owners manual. How does one open the steering compartment on a 1998 XLV shell / 1999 Marathon conversion? I unlocked the two key locks outside and I think there is supposed to be a latch inside next to the driver’s seat but I just can’t find it. Any ideas?
I went to the Prevost publication site but could not find the XLV owners manual.

You will find screws on the right hand side of the door above and below the lock. Rotate each one 90 degrees and the door should open.

One of the things that will make your transition into your new coach much more pleasant will be if you can get training. All too many think they will be able to figure things out as they go, but unless you are prepared to learn stuff the hard way you should see if you can schedule some time with preferably Marathon or at least someone familiar with your year and conversion.
I sense you are lost right now, and may not have even had the opportunity to completely check out the coach. An intense training session which involves both the house and chassis could take a couple of days and possibly uncover some things that will need attention, but the time and money spent will make your experiences with the coach much more pleasurable.

That is so true i would like some one to show me my way around now that im a little familer with the coach,, any one close to DeLand ,Fl that could show me the ins and outs.

It would have been nice to really check out the coach and live in it for a couple of days. But all I managed was three hours of training/systems walk through with someone previously with Marathon. I can always give the a call but I do enjoy figuring things out.
