How to Win Friends and Influence People
Well, here I am minding my own business, enjoying the wonderful weather at the beautiful Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort and I go down the street for supper at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que. While I am standing in line, about to be seated, some one behind me says “Prevosstt Community, Prevost Community?”.
I am wearing the cool, light blue Prevost Community Oklahoma No-Rally, Rally shirt. So I turn around to see two couples. One of the men asks me if I am a member of PC. I say I am and ask if he is familiar with the web site. He responds that he is and I ask him what is his screen name? He says he has not registered becuase he is not fond of “Jim Weinburger”. I respond, that I do not know who that is. This stranger then proceeds to tell me that “Jim” is the arrogant ___ that owns the web site. I tell him, no Jon and Tom own the site. He continues to argue with me that it is “Jim” and continues to berate “Jim”. I continue to tell him it is Jon, not “Jim”.
I ask this man if he ever met Jon in person. He says he has not. I say that indeed Jon shares alot of information on the site with us and that I have met Jon several times in person and have always found him to be polite and very pleasant. The stranger continues that he is a member of POG because Jon is on the Prevost Community and this fellow knows more than Jon, because he has owned a Bus Company. This stranger was quite rude to me and all Prevost Community members.
I am just wondering which former “friend” in POG did I meet. Any ideas Jon?
Anyway, I have my white and blue PC license plate on the front of my bus and I am going to wash my light blue Prevost Community Oklahoma No-Rally, Rally shirt and continue to wear it around the LVM resort until I smoke this guy out again. You just can’t keep those “happy” POG members down, I guess.
Keep on doin’ what you do, Jon.
Thanks;
Michael
