  • How to Win Friends and Influence People

Posted by Michael on February 12, 2015 at 11:19 pm

Well, here I am minding my own business, enjoying the wonderful weather at the beautiful Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort and I go down the street for supper at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que. While I am standing in line, about to be seated, some one behind me says “Prevosstt Community, Prevost Community?”.

I am wearing the cool, light blue Prevost Community Oklahoma No-Rally, Rally shirt. So I turn around to see two couples. One of the men asks me if I am a member of PC. I say I am and ask if he is familiar with the web site. He responds that he is and I ask him what is his screen name? He says he has not registered becuase he is not fond of “Jim Weinburger”. I respond, that I do not know who that is. This stranger then proceeds to tell me that “Jim” is the arrogant ___ that owns the web site. I tell him, no Jon and Tom own the site. He continues to argue with me that it is “Jim” and continues to berate “Jim”. I continue to tell him it is Jon, not “Jim”.

I ask this man if he ever met Jon in person. He says he has not. I say that indeed Jon shares alot of information on the site with us and that I have met Jon several times in person and have always found him to be polite and very pleasant. The stranger continues that he is a member of POG because Jon is on the Prevost Community and this fellow knows more than Jon, because he has owned a Bus Company. This stranger was quite rude to me and all Prevost Community members.

I am just wondering which former “friend” in POG did I meet. Any ideas Jon?

Anyway, I have my white and blue PC license plate on the front of my bus and I am going to wash my light blue Prevost Community Oklahoma No-Rally, Rally shirt and continue to wear it around the LVM resort until I smoke this guy out again. You just can’t keep those “happy” POG members down, I guess.

Keep on doin’ what you do, Jon.

    Thanks;

    Michael

Micheal, I googled Jim Weinburger and found these people.

    • Image result for jim weinberger

You can plainly see that none of them are old enough to be our friend Jon. You should have opened your flip phone, (oops, sorry, was thinking I was talking to Jon) and googled the name and have this guy point him out for you. I applaud you for defending one of our own in public, but please be careful bragging on Jon on this site as it will cause him to have to remove the windshield to get his swollen head inside his Liberty, or he may have to trade for a H3 for the wider door. Also, he has been known to double the dues for members who mention him on this site. Just sayin’ (for the grouchy, whiney, super smart non PC members who who may be lurking on this site, the above is called sarcasm)

Some people in this strange world consider themselves so smart and knowledgeable that they just have to tell you how smart they are without ever listening to, or considering, any opposing information. I never let people who are this impotent, oops, I mean ImpoRtant, bring me down and spoil my outing. Just write them off and don’t let them them spoil your day. Remember, we all smile in the same language.

No need to defend me. He’s probably right. I am arrogant. He probably doesn’t like good looking guys like me with a full head of hair, a trim muscular figure, and an undying love for the Lennon Sisters.

Wow! The fact that this person, who you did not know, initiated this conversation with someone he did not know is quite revealing. Are you sure his name wasn’t “Richard Cranium?”

I used to think internet forum drama and forum rivalry was unique to motorcycle forums, but I guess not.

This kind of stuff usually starts when you’re “minding your own business”.

I would have told him that “Jim Weinburger” is NO LONGER involved in PC. He has left the organization, sold his Prevost, and the last anyone saw of him he was pulling ancient pop-up tent camper with a roached out 1967 Oldsmobile 98 Luxury Sedan. PC is now an organization of really great people. Try it, you’ll like it.

This kind of kiddy-car, high school BS just puts me to sleep. I have no interest putting up with it. I put up with it at work and a few of the organizations I’ve been involved with over the years. I’m at the point in my life that I’d rather sit by myself with nothing to do and no one to talk to than subject myself this kind of behavior.

Geo is on probation. I hope he doesn’t need to borrow a buddy plug from a Liberty owner.

Didn’t realize when we joined PC that we could be associated with such a scandalous bunch. (-: From now on when we emerge from the coach we’ll be attired in our Harley chaps and leather jackets!

Tom, he was driving a 2002, Non-Slide Marathon. I think I heard him say it was his “last coach”.

Dan and Judy said: “From now on when we emerge from the coach we’ll be attired in our Harley chaps and leather jackets!”

Maybe the back of the Prevost Community tee-shirts should say “If you can read this, the Bitch is back at the bus.”
