It is a old airplane but fun to fly. I was a freight dog with only a little over 1 1/2 years total time aloft in it . been out of it 20years but it feels like it was yesterday

Never flew the 7 2, but I rode their jump seats a lot commuting to work. Fast bugger. Enjoyed talking with the FE and watching them fiddle with stuff.

I got my FE ticket in the 727. Used a Western airplane in SLC. Never flew it on the line though. However, I did get to plumb on the DC8/DC10/L1011.

I got to ride the jump seat on a United 727 just once. As a low-time private pilot, I was fascinated by the flight engineer’s panel.
