Nearing the end of a long build. Sold my finished coach to soon and health has really slowed this one down. For those familiar with project I have been more detailed and brave with mods on this one. Still not pretty on outside. Mech things are much improved over the entertainer conversion I started with. It moves on it’s own but still needs the several hundred mile road test. The little details are time consuming when you think outside box. Inverter HVAC,10 spd automatic,307 rear end, all new bags brakes bushings ,3 slide outs. Led lights inside and out. So what next? I have really enjoyed the build even though I have thought about buying a factory built coach to use before things get where we can’t. I like to keep this forum open to keep the home builder who is either doing it by $$$ need or just like to think outside box— Going. The kids think I am more particular with this one because of the hrs spent. ANYONE needing to know my biggest screw ups or if something didn’t work or should work just ask. May your roads be smooth and dry;enjoy the ride. Bob

You are my hero Bob. I know how much work it has to have been, and if you are like a typical gear head even when you are “done” you will still find projects to do on it.

    Hey Bob, et. al

I am like you, I am still wrenching on mine. I have 1/2 of the ceiling in place, appliances in place, cabinets all made/finished, all flooring except for carpet, exterior is painted, etc. If I could work on it daily for 8 hours I probably would have it finished in 2 or 3 months since I think it is about 90% complete but I can’t since I am still a working stiff having to give the employer 40 hrs per week. And since my work involves travel out of town at least 2 weeks per month, I can’t even get work done on it when out of town BUT, it is still moving forward. It is being built for when I retire and I can’t retire yet so I just keep plugging.

I should take some pics and post for all to see.

During the course of this rebuild I have scored many slightly used /were missing for this bus. Some of them were actually sold off this unit while it was being salvaged. Couple of items the person that had them sent back no charge just because of uniqueness of situation. Latest ( not from orig coach) was a set of wheel caps off a marathon. I saw them on E=bay and paid a almost the cost of one wheel for 6. Got to believe he is a member here. Very impressed with his personal attitude as it would have been just as easy to throw them out rather than go thru the hassel of making them available. I have been on recieving end of a act of community before. One good example I went to get a muffler for a low price and ended up comming home with exhaust including turbo=exhaust pipes=muffler plus complete set of blankets and tail pipe. for less than 10% of value. Thanks to all! Bob

Glad you get to be on the receiving end once in a while, Bob. You went out of your way to help me with parts I could not find with I was in bind, not to mention the knowledge you have shared!

so there is talk around central FL, you are going to head south for some R&R.

Hope to see you down here Robert. I keep the idea of a home built scenic cruiser rattling though my grey matter. Would love to see yours to give me some idea of what my crazy thoughts have me in for 🙂
